 Centers for Independent Living
A center for independent living is a place where people with disabilities can find out about independent living. Independent living can mean living on your own, but can also be living independently as much as you can. This can mean finding out about Medicaid benefits or other resources for people with disabilities. There is an online resource for finding the closest center for independent living to you. They provide a map where you can click on your state to find all the CILs there. They also have straight text links. I suppose this is for the people who cannot see the map...
